Nanette M. Beaumont is a member of the California State Bar and inactively a member of the Arizona State Bar. She is a highly experienced attorney skilled in the areas of construction, real estate, civil litigation, business, contract, and estate planning. She is a member of the Eastern Madera County Bar Association, Mariposa County Bar Association, Los Angeles County Bar Association, American Bar Association, Oakhurst Sierra Sunrise Rotary Club, and the Oakhurst Chamber of Commerce. She is also former president of the Eastern Madera County Bar Association. Ms. Beaumont obtained her contractor’s license, including general contracting and engineering classifications, in 1999. She also owns a construction company in Coarsegold, California.
Ms. Beaumont graduated from the University of San Francisco’s Intensive Advocacy Program and thereafter obtained her Juris Doctorate degree from Western State University College of Law in 1999. While a student there she received an American Jurisprudence Award in the area of Criminal Procedure. Upon graduation she worked as a court appointed mediator and immediately began working as an attorney for the Law Firm of Kring & Chung, LLP in Irvine, California, focusing in the areas of civil litigation, public works construction, construction defect, insurance defense, estate planning, and real estate law. In 2003 Ms. Beaumont started Beaumont Law Firm, PC. In 2007, Ms. Beaumont joined the Law Firm of Jamison & Chappel as of counsel. Thereafter, the two law firms joined forces as Jamison Chappel & Beaumont located in Oakhurst, California.
Ms. Beaumont is fluent in law and motion and the drafting of various pleadings and petitions. Her experience and proficiency includes numerous trials, mediations, depositions, and arbitrations in contract litigation, real estate disputes, and the defense and prosecution of complex claims, with an emphasis on handling private and public works issues. Ms. Beaumont is also experienced in the drafting of and procedures related to mechanic’s liens, stop notices, complex government claims, delay and extra work claims, public bidding, surety law. Currently, she concentrates her practice in estate planning and civil litigation.
Ms. Beaumont leads the Families in Need Program for the Oakhurst Sierra Sunrise Rotary Club and has participated as an attorney-judge in Madera County Office of Education’s Mock Trial Competitions. Ms. Beaumont also enjoys outdoor activities with her children, coaching soccer, riding horses, and is an avid runner and water skier.
